Urban Intellectuals started with a boy, influenced by his father’s experiences in the Depression-era South, understanding history’s value. He noted educational gaps and media’s role in shaping perceptions of the African Diaspora. Inspired by leaders like Woodson and Du Bois, he founded Urban Intellectuals to unite the African Diaspora and promote Black Excellence, influenced by his father’s teachings and prominent Black activists.
