Not long ago, two sea friends Okto, an octopus, and Igny, a fireworm, had been safe and warm in their homes. But now, that felt like ages ago. They had chosen to head north, but where exactly they were going, neither of them really knew. The one thing they both agreed on was that they’d made a hasty choice and now they had travelled too far to turn back.
As they journeyed on, tiny cubes of ice began to form on the octopus’s limbs. These cubes grew bigger and slowly came together to form a small iceberg that wrapped around their bodies until they were frozen solid, like ice pops.
They were stuck and couldn’t move on their own. They were depending on the ocean’s current to carry them along, not knowing where they were going. The only parts of their bodies they could move were their eyes. They darted back and forth, back and forth, just like the wipers on a car.
But then, something long and twisted bumped into their ice triangle with a loud thud. After the strange collision, they started zipping through the water, almost flying above the sea.
